If you’ve been foaming at the mouth, eagerly awaiting news on the Sylvester Stallone and Arnold Schwarzenegger-starring THE TOMB, then today is your day as we have two bits of news to share with ya concering the flick.
First off is the news that the Mikael Håfström-helmed flick has undergone a title change, dumping the badass title THE TOMB in exchange for the more generic sounding ESCAPE PLAN. I mean, it’s not a bad title as it lets you know exactly what to expect, but THE TOMB just seemed to work better for me.
The other bit of news regarding THE TOMB…er, I mean ESCAPE PLAN, is that the films release date has been bumped up two weeks earlier, hitting cinemas on September 13, 2013.
ESCAPE PLAN follows Ray Breslin (Stallone), the world’s foremost authority on structural and prison security. After being framed by persons unknown, Breslin must escape from a high-tech prison facility that’s design is based on his own protocols. On the inside Breslin meets Emil Rottmayer (Schwarzenegger), an inmate who fights to keep the prisoners from losing their humanity as they struggle together to stay alive.
ESCAPE PLAN also stars Vincent D’Onofrio, Sam Neill, Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, Jim Caviezel and Vinnie Jones.
