FENDER BENDER, the first original Shout! Factory film (a co-production with Chiller), but it's also the triumphant return of NIGHT FLIER director Mark Pavia, who hasn't helmed a feature since 1997.
In this first official trailer, a 30-second teaser for the Chiller network, we get a glimpse at the film's dastardly Driver and his unsuspecting victim. Bill Sage's villainous turn definitely owes a lot to Rutger Hauer's chilling performance in THE HITCHER back in 1986, which is certainly not a bad thing. It will be interesting to see how this cat-and-mouse dynamic plays out in the modern era from a company that knows what they're doing with retro material.
Check out the trailer for yourself below!
A "throwback to the horror films of the 1980s," here's the plot of FENDER BENDER:
In a small New Mexico town, a 17-year-old high school girl who just got her driver's license gets into her first fender bender, innocently exchanging her personal information with an apologetic stranger. Later that stormy night, she is joined in her desolate suburban home by a couple of her school friends who try their best to make a night out of it, only to be visited by the stranger she so willingly handed all of her information to — a terrifying and bizarre serial killer who stalks the country's endless miles of roads and streets with his old rusty car, hungrily searching for his next unsuspecting victim.
FENDER BENDER stars Makenzie Vega (The Good Wife, SAW), Dre Davis (Pretty Little Liars), Cassidy Freeman (Smallville), Kelsey Leos Montoya (THE GUEST), Harrison Sim (PIZZA GIRL MASSACRE) and Bill Sage (PRECIOUS) as The Driver.
It crashes onto Chiller on Friday, June 3rd at 9 PM ET.
