Scream Factory’s Poltergeist II and III collector’s editions hit in January!

While the original POLTERGEIST is regarded as a horror classic, the sequels POLTERGEIST II: THE OTHER SIDE and POLTERGEIST III often get unfairly brushed aside. Although I'm one of that crazy minority who loves III way more than THE OTHER SIDE, I have a lot of love for both sequels, and am delighted to report that Scream Factory will allow fans to experience that love in crisp Blu-Ray resolution with a Collector's Edition re-release of both films.

POLTERGEIST II and POLTERGEIST III will join the Scream Factory lineup on January 24, 2017. Those who pre-order their copies now will have their order shipped two weeks early along with a free 18” x 24” poster of the newly-designed key art. Check out the artwork, by Justin Osbourn, below!

The bonus features for these releases will be announced in November or December, though the company confirms that both releases will be 2K transfers.

In POLTERGEIST II: THE OTHER SIDE:

In this thrilling follow-up to the smash hit Poltergeist, the Freeling family (JoBeth Williams, Craig T. Nelson, Heather O'Rourke, Oliver Robins) settles into a new home following the annihilation of their former residence by terrifying visitors from the netherworld. But the spirits of the dead are still hell-bent on luring the family's clairvoyant daughter Carol Anne to "the other side." This chilling sequel, directed by Brian Gibson (Breaking Glass) also stars Will Sampson (One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest), Julian Beck (The Cotton Club) and Zelda Rubinstein (Anguish) returns as Tangina.

In POLTERGEIST III:

They are back….again! And they're looking for Carol Ann in this riveting finale to the POLTERGEIST trilogy.
