Paramount’s Scouts vs. Zombies lands its scout leader in David Koechner

Last month we learned that director Christopher Landon's upcoming SCOUTS VS. ZOMBIES had landed MUD star Tye Sheridan and newcomer Joseph Morgan as two of the titular scouts, but what would any scouting troop be without a scout leader? Enter CHEAP THRILLS and ANCHORMAN star David Koechner, who has joined the horror-comedy and is set to play Scout Leader Rogers. WHAMMY!

Here's what we know about SCOUTS VS. ZOMBIES:

The story centers on three high school Boy Scouts who must use their skills to battle vicious zombies after their small town faces a zombie outbreak.

Todd Garner, Andy Fickman, Betsy Sullenger and Bryan Brucks are producing the project, which is scheduled to begin shooting on May 8.

Koechner, who was so damn good in CHEAP THRILLS, is also joined onscreen by THE BLING RING's Logan Miller.
