Nikki Reed boards suspense thriller Email

TWILIGHT series star Nikki Reed (pictured) has signed to star in Kelvin Tong's supernatural thriller EMAIL which is said to be in the vein of THE RING and THE GRUDGE. You guessed it, the film centers around a string of strange killings that involves… wait for it… a cursed email! It's like one of those emails that you have to forward to all of your friends otherwise your entire family will die a horrible death. All jokes aside, Nikki Reed is not only easy on the eyes but she's no doubt a capable actress that should bring something special to this one. It is being produced by SPJ Enterprises, zgreen entertainment and Boku Films.

Here's how it goes:

Young journalist Thea Hartley travels to Singapore to investigate the mysterious circumstances of her sister’s death and discovers a string of bizarre killings involving a cursed email. Along the way she meets Ted, an ex-pat technology reporter, and together they face the supernatural forces and unravel a mysterious conspiracy far bigger than they expected.

Jason Shuman, who produced such horror hits as THE MESSENGERS and DARKNESS FALLS will be executive producing with Lauren Selig. Principal photography is set to begin May 2014 in Singapore and Highland Film Group will handle worldwide sales and introduce the title to buyers at EFM in Berlin.
