THE QUEEN MARY (Part 1 of 2)

A couple of years back, I had the immense – and spooky – pleasure of joining the Nick Groff Tour while they dove deep inside the Queen Mary in Long Beach, California. During which, the group in attendance witnessed a number of fascinating happenings. One involved a terrifying EVP of some mysterious and disturbing male voice screaming into the recorder. This historic location is one of the most exciting places you could visit if you are looking for a haunted excursion of your own. And this coming weekend, you can join Nick as he once again returns to this incredible ship with a few secrets hidden throughout. Tickets for the upcoming event are available here.

This week on Nick Groff Investigates… we thought we’d try something new. While speaking to Nick beforehand, we felt it would be eye-opening to tell the story of what has happened in the past in regards to this location. Then, for an fun twist, in two weeks we can discuss some of the events that take place beginning Friday, February 1st. It seemed like a perfect opportunity to go deeper into one particular location. Since he has a history with the ship, I was curious about his past experiences, and what makes him come back. For me, this formidable place brings on an intense sense of wonder and fear. This is especially true when you have the opportunity to seek out parts of the boat that are normally unavailable to your average seafaring stranger.

As well, he talked about one of the most fascinating areas aboard this massive vessel. And when it comes to some of the ghostly encounters he has had, one in particular happens to be especially fascinating. When we return to this column in February, we will have more to share about the upcoming weekend event. And perhaps another cool surprise for all of you! Here we are with the first of our two part examination of the Queen Mary.

“I’ve been aboard the Queen Mary three times throughout my life and the experiences are different every time. I’ve seen shadow figures, heard unexplainable voices and even been followed by huge raccoons in front of the abandoned part of the boat.

The most amazing part of investigating the Queen Mary was the pool area. It’s like entering another world! The energetic feeling that surrounded me in the dimly lit pool area is very powerful at times. The strangest part about this mysterious area is the entity that appears as a little girl and can sometimes be heard with my own ears. The craziest part about this is there’s never been a documented death of a little girl. I feel the pool area has a doorway to the other side where different energies enter and leave.

I’ve experienced hearing this child entity while investigating the pool. The spirits are highly intelligent and very interactive once they feel comfortable with whoever is communicating. The space is out of this world and goes beyond just a typical haunting. I believe the spirits have adapted into some sort of conscious thought form and now are intelligent enough to communicate with the reality that we live in.

Creepy to think that there’s so many things that we don’t understand yet within our short lives that we live as human beings. So many more things to experience and I’m looking forward to going back a forth time to discover new things that the spirits on the Queen Mary have to offer. I’m noticing every year that I go back, the entities get smarter and the energy grows stronger.

What I love most is bringing people from all over the world with me on the Nick Groff Tour to experience these phenomenons together. I’ve even seen skeptics have experiences that they can’t explain and have come back to further investigate.

I’m excited to return back to the boiler room and go into places I didn’t have the opportunity to explore last time. See everyone who is attending the Nick Groff Tour soon! Let’s see what we can discover this time aboard the Queen Mary.”
