Mortal Kombat reboot currently has no release date

No one's more excited for the upcoming R-rated MORTAL KOMBAT reboot film than me, who – while a huge fan of the Paul W.S. Anderson original – was still always just a little disappointed that it wasn't as gory as the games. However, there hasn't been much news coming out from the film for a while, and on Twitter today, a fan asked one of the producers of MORTAL KOMBAT reboot – Todd Garner – about the status of the film, which (unsurprisingly), was affected by Covid-19. Here's the response from Garner's official Twitter account:

Meanwhile, the MORTAL KOMBAT reboot is co-produced by James Wan, directed by Simon McQuoid, and stars Ludi Lin as Liu Kang, Hiroyuki Sanada as Scorpion, Chin Han as Shang Tsun, Joe Taslim as Sub-Zero (Bi-Han), Jessica McNamee as Sonya Blade, Josh Lawson as Kano, Mehcad Brooks as Jax, Tadanobu Asano as Raiden, Elissa Cadwell as Nitara, Sisi Stringer as Mileena, and Lewis Tan playing an unknown character (though I'm putting my money on Sub-Zero II, a.k.a. Kuai Liang).

So what do you guys think? Fans of MORTAL KOMBAT? If so, what do you think of the upcoming reboot? Either way, sound off below!
