Justin Long talks the hold up with Jeepers Creepers 3

Horror fans have been waiting all too patiently for another entry in the JEEPERS CREEPERS franchise as the third film has been through the rumor mill time and time again. For me, JEEPERS CREEPERS 3 has entered “I’ll believe it when I see it” territory like GHOSTBUSTERS 3 or a sequel to DREDD. Justin Long, the guy who gets turned into a walrus this weekend in TUSK, recently participated in a Reddit AMA where he was asked a question on the status of JEEPERS CREEPERS 3.

Here’s what he had to say:

There is a script (it’s called “Jeepers Creepers: Cathedral”). Gina plays the lead in it (which would be awesome to see her come back and kick some ass). It’s been tough getting off the ground, financially, unfortunately. According to Victor, I do get my hands on a flashback.

It’d be great to see Gina Philips, who starred in the original film, take on the Creeper once again, especially after all of these years. It’s strange to me that this one is having so much trouble getting off the ground considering filmmakers are making quality films these days for next to nothing. Hopefully the next time we talk about JEEPERS CREEPERS: CATHEDRAL, it'll be about how it's moving forward!
