When GET OUT writer/director Jordan Peele's new film US went into production back in July, all that was known about it was that it's a "social thriller" that involves
two couples, one white, one black.
Now that US has been filmed and assembled, it's ready for a test screening, and Slash Film got their hands on the synopsis that is accompanying invitations to that test screening. While still keeping the story shrouded in secrecy, this synopsis does reveal a little more detail.
A mother and a father take their kids to their beach house expecting to unplug and unwind with friends. But as night descends, their serenity turns to tension and chaos when some shocking visitors arrive uninvited.
There's no word on what sort of "shocking visitors" will be stopping by.
BLACK PANTHER co-stars Lupita Nyong’o and Winston Duke play the mother and father mentioned in the synopsis (and the image above comes from BLACK PANTHER), with Elisabeth Moss among the actors playing their friends. Also in the cast are Tim Heidecker, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Anna Diop, Shahadi Wright Joseph, Evan Alex, Cali Sheldon, Noelle Sheldon, and Madison Curry.
Peele produced US through his company Monkeypaw Productions, along with Sean McKittrick, Jason Blum, and Ian Cooper. Daniel Lupi served as executive producer.
US is supposed to reach theatres in just three months, on March 15, 2019.
