A year ago, we heard that Jordan Peele would be following up his feature directorial debut GET OUT with another “social thriller” for Universal. A couple months ago, Peele said he would be in production on that new film by the end of this year. And last night, he took to his Twitter account to reveal the title and the release month with the teaser art that can be seen below.

Peele’s new film is titled US, and it’s set to be released on March 15, 2019.

As soon as the art went online, Variety also broke the exclusive that Lupita Nyong’o is in talks to star in the film, with her BLACK PANTHER co-star Winston Duke and Elisabeth Moss in consideration for other lead roles. If deals are made with all three of those actors, US is going to have a hell of a cast.

Plot details on US are being kept under wraps, but Peele has said that he wants to make sure it’s tonally similar to GET OUT while being a completely different movie.

Peele is producing the film with Sean McKittrick, Ian Cooper, and Jason Blum.

GET OUT is a tough act to follow, having earned a Best Picture nomination and an Oscar win for Best Original Screenplay. US might not reach that level, but it’s off to a good start.
