John Fallon Michael Pare The Shelter

THE SHELTER, the directorial debut of Arrow in the Head founder John "The Arrow" Fallon, has played at some cool festivals around the globe, and now the time when a wider audience will get their chance to see the film is fast approaching.

A few months ago, we shared the news that Uncork'd Entertainment had acquired the distribution rights to THE SHELTER in the United States and Canada, and now we know the specifics of their plans: Uncork'd will be releasing THE SHELTER into theatres and on VOD on November 4th (you could be watching it in less than a month!), with a DVD release to follow on January 3rd.

Fallon wrote and directed THE SHELTER, and produced it with Donny Broussard. The film stars Michael Paré, Gayle James, Rachel Whittle, Lauren Thomas, Daena Turner, and Amy Wickenheiser.

The synopsis:

Vagrant Thomas Jacob (Michael Paré of "Eddie and the Cruisers" fame) finds shelter for the night when he falls upon a seemingly abandoned two-story home with its lights on and an inviting front door. Once inside, his past comes to haunt him and he soon realizes that he is not alone. There's a supernatural force on hand and it won't let him leave. Destiny has brought Thomas to this place but will he survive the ordeal?

Along with the release announcement comes the debut of a new trailer, seen above, and a new poster for the film, which you can scope out below.

THE SHELTER was executive produced by Bruise Productions and JoBlo Movie Productions. Production and post-production elements were completed by Holbrook Multi Media. You can keep up to date with THE SHELTER on Twitter, Facebook, and at the film's official site.
