About a month ago now, we let you guys know that the sequel to the hit flick GOOSEBUMPS, based on the kid-horror book series by R.L. Stine, was getting a new name.
That new name was GOOSEBUMPS: HORRORLAND, which is itself based on a spin-off Goosebumps book series. Back in that article, we weren't sure if Jack Black, or any of the other cast members from the original, were going to return for the sequel.
If that had you worried, everything is all good as today it seems we have news that Jack Black WILL be returning for more bumps of the goose variety.
The news comes from GOOSEBUMPS AND FEAR STREET author himself, R.L. Stine when he took to Twitter recently to let us all know that – as far as he's hear – Black will be back!
Check out his tweet:
Yes, there is a script for the Goosebumps movie sequel, and I am told that my evil twin, Jack Black, has signed on. More news to come!

Very cool, right? I mean I could do with a Jack Black-less sequel to the series, but all the same, the man did turn in a fun performance as Stine and it would feel, I don't know, low-rent if the sequel jettisoned him for someone else like – God forbid – Jamie Kennedy or Dax Shepard. Can you imagine…
Are you excited for Jack Black's return as R.L. Stine in GOOSEBUMPS: HORRORLAND? What did you think of the original flick? Let us know on Facebook, Twitter, and/or Instagram!
GOOSEBUMPS: HORRORLAND is set to hit theaters September 21st, 2018.
