Halloween’s Andi Matichak will face off with a cult in Son

Jamie Lee Curtis's HALLOWEEN 2018 co-star Andi Matichak will be reprising the role of Laurie Strode's granddaughter Allyson in the back-to-back sequels HALLOWEEN KILLS and HALLOWEEN ENDS, and as if battling slasher icon Michael Myers three movies in a row wasn't already scary enough Matichak has now signed on to star in another horror film, SON.

Written and directed by Ivan Kavanagh (THE CANAL), SON is said to be a character-driven story that centers on 

a mother who escaped from a demonic cult as a child. Her past catches up with her as its members infect her young son with an insidious disease, the cure for which is more terrifying than she can imagine.

A demonic cult that can give people an insidious disease? I think I'd rather deal with Michael Myers.

Matichak is joined in the cast of SON by Emile Hirsch, who previously worked with Kavanagh on the Western NEVER GROW OLD.

The film is being produced by Rene Bastian of Belladonna Productions, AnneMarie Naughton of Park Films, and Louis Tisné of Elastic Film. Altitude Films is handling world sales rights and will be presenting the project to potential buyers at this month's AFM.

SON is expected to start filming in January.
