DEATH HOUSE, directed by Harrison Smith (CAMP DREAD) from his script, based on a story by original Leatherface Gunnar Hansen, is already host to a cavalcade of horror stars. Cody Longo (PIRANHA 3D) and Cortney Palm (ZOMBEAVERS) star, but a cavalry of horror vets fill in the other roles, including Danny Trejo, Kane Hodder, Dee Wallace, Bill Moseley, Michael Berryman, Barbara Crampton, Debbie Rochon, and Bill Oberst Jr.
They are now being joined by SLEEPAWAY CAMP's Felissa Rose, as well as Stelio Savante (A BEAUTIFUL MIND) and Richard Speight Jr. (Supernatural), so now the cast is practically spilling over the top with cult horror fan favorites. This is definitely one of the benefits of today's obsession with retro filmmaking, because who could have possibly predicted that we'd be seeing all these people in the same movie? I'm happy to see that Gunnar Hansen's legacy is being treated with such passion.
In DEATH HOUSE:
Two federal agents fight their way through nine levels of hell inside a secret prison known as the Death House. A facility-wide prison break turns their flight into a tour of horrors as they push toward the ultimate evil housed in the lowest depths of the earth.
DEATH HOUSE will begin production this month in Pennsylvania and California.
