Display a gun, sword or any other killing instrument? That’s fine. Suggest a boob? No way!
The MPAA has struck again, rejecting the below poster for FRANK MILLER’S SIN CITY: A DAME TO KILL FOR for the silliest of reasons. According to PageSix, the one-sheet of femme fatale Eva Green didn’t make the cut because of “nudity — curve of under breast and dark nipple/areola circle visible through sheer gown.”
Uh-huh. We can only imagine the chaos that would rule the streets if anyone caught a look at the mere hint of Eva Green’s breast. Not like you can google it and get 100,000 results immediately or anything.
To check out some of the posters that did get the OK, head over HERE. (Warning: You can see Jessica Alba’s cleavage and Rosario Dawson’s butt.)
Co-directors Robert Rodriguez and Frank Miller reunite to bring Miller’s visually stunning graphic novels back to the screen. Weaving together two of Miller’s classic stories with new tales, the town’s most hard boiled citizens cross paths with some of its more notorious inhabitants.
SIN CITY: A DAME TO KILL FOR opens August 22nd.
