Enjoy the sights and sounds of Ben Wheatley’s Sightseers trailer

With the remarkable KILL LIST, Ben Wheatley announced himself as a force to be reckoned with in the horror world. Now he’s switching things up a bit with SIGHTSEERS, a comedy that follows a couple of homicidal vacationers. Sure they kill people, but they really seem sorta nice too.

The trailer for the film popped up on the Guardian’s website, and we have it for you below. It looks to be a little more in line with Wheatley’s film film, DOWN TERRACE, and also looks like a really damn good time. Edgar Wright produced, so how could it not be?

Chris (Steve Oram) wants to show Tina (Alice Lowe) his world and he wants to do it his way – on a journey through this sceptred isle in his beloved Abbey Oxford Caravan. Tina’s led a sheltered life and there are things that Chris needs her to see – the Crich Tramway Museum, the Ribblehead Viaduct, the Keswick Pencil Museum and the rolling countryside that separates these wonders in his life.

But it doesn’t take long for the dream to fade. Litterbugs, noisy teenagers and pre-booked caravan sites, not to mention Tina’s meddling mother, soon conspire to shatter Chris’s dreams and send him, and anyone who rubs him up the wrong way, over a very jagged edge…

IFC will release SIGHTSEERS in the states at an undetermined time; meanwhile, it opens in the UK on NOVEMBER 30th.
