The J. J. Abrams produced sci-fi thriller GOD PARTICLE is gathering a constellation of bright stars, and their latest acquisition is an encouraging one: Elizabeth Debicki. She's not exactly a household name quite yet, but she made a big splash in Baz Luhrmann's THE GREAT GATSBY as the sultry athlete Jordan Baker, which was only her second feature film role.
She has since appeared in THE MAN FROM U.N.C.L.E., EVEREST, and the TV series The Night Manager, and she'll be appearing in GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL. 2 in an as-yet unspecified role. With GOTG on her slate, GOD PARTICLE certainly isn't the biggest project bearing her name, but it's a huge step in the right direction for a star who deserves to keep on shining.
GOD PARTICLE:
takes place in the near future. It centers on a team of astronauts who make a terrifying discovery that challenges all they know about the fabric of reality, as they desperately fight for their survival.
GOD PARTICLE already features David Oyelowo (SELMA) and Gugu Mbatha-Raw (BEYOND THE LIGHTS), with John Krasinski (The Office) on board as well. It's directed by Julius Onah The film is set to hit theaters on February 24, 2017.
