Down a Dark Hall hits Blu-ray & DVD this October

Recently I had the chance to check out director Rodrigo Cortés’ adaptation of I KNOW WHAT YOU DID LAST SUMMER and TEACHING MRS TINGLE author Lois Duncan’s DOWN A DARK HALL (pre-order HERE) starring Uma Thurman, AnnaSophia Robb (THE REAPING), and Isabelle Fuhrman (ORPHAN).

I dug the flick for what it was, and today we have word that the movie will be hitting Blu-ray and DVD via Lionsgate’s Summit Entertainment on October 16th. Check out the special features below!

Kit (AnnaSophia Robb), a difficult young girl, is sent to the mysterious Blackwood Boarding School when her heated temper becomes too much for her mother to handle. Once she arrives at Blackwood, Kit encounters eccentric headmistress Madame Duret (Uma Thurman) and meets the school’s only other students, four young women also headed down a troubled path. While exploring the labyrinthine corridors of the school, Kit and her classmates discover that Blackwood Manor hides an age-old secret rooted in the paranormal.

As I said above, I dug the movie for what it is and called it “a big-budget, gothic horror remake of Dario Argento’s SUSPIRIA – that you can watch with the kiddos.” I’d recommend giving it a look-see if that sounds like your cup of blood. And once again, the movie will be hitting Blu-ray and DVD via Lionsgate’s Summit Entertainment on October 16th.
