Color Out of Space hits VHS next month

Richard Stanley's adaptation of author H.P. Lovecraft's COLOR OUT OF SPACE starring Nicolas Cage hits VHS this March from Broke Horror Fan and Witter Entertainment. It is presented on limited edition, fully-functional VHS officially licensed from RLJE Films and approved by SpectreVision.

It arrives on VHS in a black clamshell case with two variants to choose from:

Standard Edition: Art by Matt Taylor, limited to 100 tapes.

Variant Edition: Art by Stockholm Design, limited to 50 tapes.

Each tape will include extras to be announced at a later date. For optimal VHS viewing, the film has been cropped from its original aspect ratio to 4:3 full frame. This title is available in the US only and limited to 1 edition per customer. It's available now for pre-order from Witter Entertainment and is expected to ship early next month. COLOR OUT OF SPACE is based on the short story by H.P. Lovecraft and begins

After a meteorite lands in the front yard of their farmstead, Nathan Gardner (Nicolas Cage) and his family find themselves battling a mutant extraterrestrial organism as it infects their minds and bodies, transforming their quiet rural life into a technicolor nightmare.

The film is directed by Richard Stanley from a screenplay he co-wrote with Scarlett Amaris (The Theatre Bizarre). COLOR OUT OF SPACE stars Nicolas Cage, Joely Richardson, Madeleine Arthur, Brendan Meyer, Julian Hilliard, Elliot Knight, with Q'orianka Kilcher, and Tommy Chong. It was financed by Ace Pictures and produced by SpectreVision. Producers include Daniel Noah, Lisa Whalen, Elijah Wood, and Josh C. Waller. Executive producers are Johnny Chang, Peter Wong, Timur Bekbosunov, Emma Lee, Stacy Jorgensen, Elisa Lleras, and Michael M. McGuire.
