Holiday-themed horror has been a hallmark of the genre for as long as I can remember. Christmas has perhaps the longest tradition of darkness, ranging from BLACK CHRISTMAS to CHRISTMAS EVIL to SANTA'S SLAY to KRAMPUS. However, some of the other major dates on the calendar don't get their fair share of the limelight, something the upcoming horror anthology HOLIDAYS is looking to rectify.
Coming out on VOD April 15th and in limited theaters on April 22nd:
HOLIDAYS is an anthology feature film that puts a uniquely dark and original spin on some of the most iconic and beloved holidays of all time. The film challenges our folklore, traditions and assumptions, making HOLIDAYS a celebration of the horror on those same special days’ year after year.
The holidays the film will cover include Christmas, Valentine's Day, New Year's Eve, Father's Day, and St. Patrick's Day, with segments directed by Kevin Smith (TUSK), Gary Shore (DRACULA UNTOLD), Scott Stewart (DARK SKIES), Kevin Kolsch and Dennis Widmyer (STARRY EYES), Sarah Adina Smith (THE MIDNIGHT SWIM), Nicholas McCarthy (THE PACT), Adam Egypt Mortimer (SOME KIND OF HATE), and Anthony Scott Burns (DARKNET).
That's a pretty insane heap of talent, and the cast is no different, including Seth Green (Robot Chicken), Lorenza Izzo (THE GREEN INFERNO), Megan Duffy (MANIAC), Kevin Smith, and Ruth Bradley (GRABBERS). Check out the official trailer below!
