JURASSIC WORLD 2 (not the actual title) is gearing up to begin production this March, and JURASSIC WORLD director Colin Trevorrow (who will be producing and co-scripting the sequel) couldn't resist addressing the bizarre controversy that sprung up around his film. Many film fans online complained about Bryce Dallas Howard's character, who wore heels the entire time she and Chris Pratt were wandering through the jungle.
In a recent tweet, Trevorrow shared a picture showing a selection of women's boots, winking at the fan outrage as production ramps up. So we'll definitely be seeing a more well-equipped Howard this time around. Maybe Chris Pratt can teach her some of his Raptor Buddy tricks too. Watch out, world! Here she comes! Check out the tweet below…
The sequel will be moving into very different, darker register, with Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard reprising their roles from the original. They will be joined by British thespians Rafe Spall and Toby Jones. The film is being directed by THE ORPHANAGE's J. A. Bayona from a script by Trevorrow and Derek Connolly.
JURASSIC WORLD 2 is scheduled for a June 22, 2018 release.
