Yesterday we hit you with the news that "American Horror Story" creator Ryan Murphy had revealed the title for the upcoming fourth season of the hit FX show as "American Horror Story: Freak Show" and today we have some first details and casting to share with you for the return of the highly anticipated series.
According to Entertainment Weekly, the series will be set in Jupiter, Florida, in 1950. “Freak Show” finds Jessica Lange playing…
…a German ex-pat who is managing one of the last freak shows in the U.S.
Her “unusuals” include Kathy Bates, Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Angela Bassett, and Frances Conroy, who will play performers whom Lange’s character has rescued.
EW also points out that series favorites Denis O’Hare and Emma Roberts are also in talks to return.
“Freak Show’s” 13 episodes will follow this group as they do anything to keep their business afloat.
I'm stoked to see the return of so many of the stars from previous seasons. I'm sure we can expect to hear some more casting surprises over the next few months, so keep checking in for more on "American Horror Story: Freak Show" as we hear it.
