Amblin developing anthology film series Unexplained Phenomenon

UNEXPLAINED PHENOMENON. It's an evocative title, if not a particularly creative one, and it's the newest pitch acquired by Amblin Partners from writing duo Jason Pagan & Andrew Deutschman (PROJECT ALMANAC, PARANORMAL ACTVITY: THE GHOST DIMENSION).

Although the plot of the film is being kept tightly under wraps, it is intended to evoke Spielberg's classic films like CLOSE ENCOUNTERS and E.T. in its exploration of real-life unexplained phenomena. There is also potential for the film to spawn an anthology franchise based around different true events.

This is still a very amorphous project (rightfully so), but you'll get more news on this as it breaks!
