Rumors of a Castlevania adaptation have been aswirl for about as long as the video game series has been around, but Frederator Studios might have just made an announcement that will change everything. On the Nick Animation Podcast, Frederator creator Fred Siebert said that he's working on an unnamed project based on “one of the most world-famous video games of the last 30 years.”
Obviously, this is far from official confirmation, but this seems to gel with the rumors from a year ago that Adi Shankar was developing an animated Castlevania mini-series with the same company. Now that the studio's cult beloved Adventure Time has been cancelled, they may be looking to fill that fantasy-adventure slot with the long-awaited project.
We'll just have to wait and see, but if a Castlevania series does develop, it would be mighty interesting to see how today's kids take to it. More news as this story breaks!
