Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham started off as foes in past FAST AND FURIOUS movies, going at it with a flurry of punches, kicks and throws — each blow shaking the earth with a mighty rumble. But now they’re teaming up and kicking ass together across the globe (and rearranging the continents in the process) in their very own movie – FAST & FURIOUS PRESENTS: HOBBS & SHAW – and the first trailer is here teasing as much action, muscles, fast cars, muscles, baldness and big muscles as you can possibly handle.

So, uh, this doesn't really play out like the movie I was expecting. Not only is the movie going full into the "Odd Couple" approach with strong action-comedy vibes, but there's also the matter of Idris Elba's villainous character, Brixton, who is a full-on superhuman. He's enhanced and can throw these guys around like they were sacks of chopped liver. Mix all that in with some insane action and you have a movie that looks, well, insane — but in the best way possible.
Johnson has not been holding back on the social media promotion for the movie, taking to Instagram to post tons of photos of not only him looking big and intimidating, but also of Statham and movie’s lead villain, played by Elba. Recently he’s been showing off photos of his character’s band of brothers (one played by WWE superstar Roman Reigns), all of whom are about as tough-looking as Johnson, which is technically over the legal amount of testosterone you’re allowed within a PG-13 rating. But I’m sure everyone will let it slide.
DEADPOOL 2 and ATOMIC BLONDE director David Leitch directs off a script from longtime FF scribe Chris Morgan, and alongside Johnson, Statham and Elba are Vanessa Kirby, Eiza Gonzalez, Eddie Marsan, Cliff Curtis and more.
