Although Steven Soderbergh announced his retirement from feature-films several years ago, he didn't exactly quit the business; Soderbergh directed all twenty episodes of Cinemax's The Knick as well as serving as cinematographer and camera operator on MAGIC MIKE XXL. His retirement has come to an end now that pre-production has begun on LOGAN LUCKY, a heist story about brothers who plan a crime during a NASCAR race.
LOGAN LUCKY has assembled an interesting cast and now Deadline reports that its latest addition will be Hilary Swank. At the moment there's not much known about the film but it's been described as "being in the vein of Ocean's 11, but with hillbillies." I'm game. LOGAN LUCKY also stars Daniel Craig, Channing Tatum, Katherine Heigl, Adam Driver, Seth MacFarlane and Riley Keough with The Playlist adding that Katherine Waterston (ALIEN: COVENANT) has also joined the cast. The Playlist also has an additional detail on Swank's role as they say that she'll be playing an FBI agent tracking down the brothers.
