Well, this is a new one; an “alternate ending” trailer. I guess it’s one way to toss out some additional footage for an upcoming flick, which in this case happens to be 22 JUMP STREET. Not that I’m complaining, really, as the new stuff in this had me laughing out loud, but it’s still…interesting. There’s a lot from the original trailer here, but some new parts as well, including Jonah Hill attempting football, Jonah Hill getting attacked by a squid, and Jonah Hill as a Latino gangster calling another gangster the “Mexican Wolverine.” Oh, and Channing Tatum is there, too, who had me in stitches with the last bit.
Enjoy:
Here’s the synopsis:
After making their way through high school (twice), big changes are in store for officers Schmidt (Jonah Hill) and Jenko (Channing Tatum) when they go deep undercover at a local college. But when Jenko meets a kindred spirit on the football team, and Schmidt infiltrates the bohemian art major scene, they begin to question their partnership. Now they don’t have to just crack the case – they have to figure out if they can have a mature relationship. If these two overgrown adolescents can grow from freshmen into real men, college might be the best thing that ever happened to them.
After kicking all forms of ass with the first 21 JUMP STREET and now doing the same with THE LEGO MOVIE, directors Chris Miller and Phil Lord are on a roll. I’m digging their comedy style and they’ve shown a knack for drumming up some great talent for their projects, so at this point you can consider me a fan. I will definitely be in the theater for this one.
22 JUMP STREET is back on the case on June 13, 2014.
