The remake of She's All That is gaining a bit of credibility by bringing back one of the film's original stars. Racheal Leigh Cook, who played Laney Boggs in the 1999 hit teen comedy, has just signed on to join the gender-swapped reboot, He's All That.
Cook will not be playing her character from the original film. She'll instead play the mother of Padgett Sawyer, the remake’s protagonist, played by TikTok star Addison Rae. In the 1999 original, Cook played Laney Boggs, the lovable art nerd who was made over by Freddie Prinze Jr.’s character, Zackary Siler. You can check out a picture of the mom and daughter duo below!
She's All That was released back in 1999 and became a surprise hit as it capitalized on the teen movie boom that took over during the late '90s. While critics weren't 100 percent impressed, the film was huge with its target audience and went on to gross $63.3 million domestically and $103.1 million worldwide. All on a very slim $10 million budget.
