Heroes return in latest Resident Evil: The Final Chapter videos

If RESIDENT EVIL: THE FINAL CHAPTER is indeed the last entry in the RESIDENT EVIL franchise (as we've known it since 2002, anyway), Sony Pictures is doing their best to make sure the series goes out in a blaze of box office glory. The marketing machine is cranked up to 11, releasing all sorts of TV spots, featurettes, clips, and interview videos.

The latest of the featurettes and clips can be seen below. First up is a featurette called "Alice Returns", in which Milla Jovovich and writer/director Paul W.S. Anderson talk about Jovovich coming back to play series heroine Alice in THE FINAL CHAPTER, which she calls the best movie in the franchise, and where the character is when the story catches up with her after the events of the previous film, RESIDENT EVIL: RETRIBUTION.

That's followed by "Alice Awakes", a clip that was released for the UK audience. This clip finds Alice having a rude awakening and an awkward meeting with the people who will end up joining her in the fight against the Umbrella Corporation and the various monsters it has created. Among them is someone Alice knows – Ali Larter as Claire Redfield.

RESIDENT EVIL: THE FINAL CHAPTER will arrive in theatres on January 27th to tell a story that

finds humanity is on its last legs. Alice must return to Raccoon City, where the Umbrella Corporation is preparing for a final strike against the survivors of the apocalypse.

In a race against time Alice will join forces with old friends, and an unlikely ally, in an action packed battle with undead hordes and new mutant monsters. Between losing her superhuman abilities and Umbrella’s impending attack, this will be Alice’s most difficult adventure as she fights to save humanity, which is on the brink of oblivion.

Jovovich and Larter's co-stars include Ruby Rose, Iain Glen, Shawn Roberts, Eoin Macken, William Levy, Fraser James, Rola, Lee Joon-gi, and Ever Gabo Anderson.
