The first official casting news surrounding NBC's upcoming HEROES miniseries reboot, HEROES REBORN is a pretty good catch. Jack Coleman, a.k.a. Noah Bennet, is back! He was the most frequently seen character in the series so it's not a real surprise they wanted him back for formality sake.
The news was confirmed by the show's official Twitter account with a new picture:

Noah Bennet was a former Company agent and father to Hayden Panettiere's cheerleader Claire Bennet, and was nicknamed HRG (the name given to him by fans, meaning "Horn-Rimmed Glasses") before the character's name was finally revealed on the show. Deadline reports that many of the show’s original actors have been approached to return, although Zachary Quinto and Milo Ventimiglia are currently unavailable.
Original series creator Tim Kring is on board to run the 13-episode "event series" that will feature an all new cast of heroes. Rumors were circling that some of the original cast might pop in for cameos or recurring arcs. I gave up on HEROES during season 2 and heard I escaped quite the train wreck. The first season was fantastic; I suspect pressure to keep the quality got to the writers and creators as the show went on.
