RED STATE director Kevin Smith took to Instagram to share a photo of actor Justin Long on the set of his body-horror pic TUSK, and what we're looking at here appears to be Long's character undergoing his walrus transformation. It's quite the bloody affair, showing Long's character with his arms stitched to his side and something (I'm not quite sure what) going on with his mouth. Smith had previously asked the question, "Is man, indeed, a walrus at heart?". Not so sure about the 'at heart' thing, but it looks like Long is well on his way to becoming a walrus in body.
The film, also written by Smith, stars Justin Long, Haley Joel Osment, Genesis Rodriguez and Michael Parks. Demarest (A MOST WANTED MAN, MACHETE KILLS) financed and produced TUSK in partnership with New York-based distributor A24 (SPRING BREAKERS, THE BLING RING), who will release it wide in the third quarter of 2014.
TUSK is a modern-day monster movie that follows a journalist named Wallace (Long) who finds the story of a lifetime in Mr. Howe (Parks), a worldwide adventurer with amazing tales and a curious penchant for walruses.
