Production is currently underway on a new MEN IN BLACK film that will focus on different MIB agents than the ones we saw Tommy Lee Jones and Will Smith play in the three previous MEN IN BLACK movies. This time around the stars are THOR: RAGNAROK co-stars Chris Hemsworth and Tessa Thompson (pictured above in the THOR movie)… and yesterday Hemsworth took to his Instagram account to share a selfie preview of their MIB characters.
Directed by F. Gary Gray from a screenplay by IRON MAN's Matt Holloway and Art Marcum, the new MEN IN BLACK is about
Tessa’s character Em trying to prove herself by joining the London MIB and being paired with the former ace Agent H, played by Hemsworth. The pair becomes involved in a murder mystery that has them traveling the globe.
Hemsworth and Thompson's co-stars include Liam Neeson as their boss; Emma Thompson, reprising her role from MEN IN BLACK III); and Rebecca Ferguson, Kumail Nanjiani, Rafe Spall, and twin dancers Laurent and Larry Nicolas Bourgeois in unspecified roles.
I really enjoyed Hemsworth and Thompson's interactions in THOR: RAGNAROK, so I'm looking forward to seeing them share the screen again and go on a different adventure together.
Produced by Walter F. Parkes and Laurie MacDonald, with Steven Spielberg executive producing and David Beaubaire overseeing the project for Sony, the new MEN IN BLACK is heading toward a June 14, 2019 release date.
