Hellraiser: Revelations director speaks out over “leaked” Pinhead photos and more!

What was your take on the new Pinhead look that popped up online earlier this month. Could you dig it? Was it worse than a cold sore? If you didn’t fancy it so much then fear not. Bloody-Disgusting found themselves a nice interview with Victor Garcia where a lot of neat little details were mentioned. Some of these details concerned the “leaked” HELLRAISER: REVELATIONS photo of our beloved Pinhead. Other details surrounded Doug Bradley not being involved as Pinhead. Regarding the Pinhead photo, Gracia spoke out and revealed that the official photo is not so official.  “Those pictures are real. The only problem with them is that somebody decided that it would be cool to Photoshop them and send them [to the press]. They spread like a disease, because obviously it’s not a regular sequel, it’s ‘Hellraiser’. And everybody was like waiting and hoping to take a look at the new Pinhead. So the answer is yes, those pictures are real, [but] the Photoshop work on them is not that good. I can tell you that Pinhead looks really cool.

I’m not happy about the fact that those pictures were online. Those pictures weren’t approved by anybody…they just leaked online, and that’s not a good thing. Especially because Pinhead is something you want to treat with a lot of respect. Especially because the fans love Pinhead, and love Doug Bradley.”

Other details include Bradley’s decision to not be involved with the project. Was it a matter of preference or something else? Garcia gave his two cents which simply blames timing as a factor. The sudden production scheduling was not friendly enough for Bradley to prepare himself for a new HELLRAISER project. HELLRAISER: REVELATIONS follows two friends who unleash Pinhead, who becomes their master of pain. Apparently, one of the friends has a change of heart. He backs out on his oath hoping to swap himself out with one of his friend’s family members.

Steve kicks off the mayhem while on a backpacking trip in Mexico with his friend Nico. On their trip the duo are presented with a choice to “experience a reality beyond current existence”thanks to the infamous puzzle box. Pinhead becomes his master.

The story continues as Nico realizes that he’s commitment to Pinhead forever, and thus attempts a daring switch plan to release himself from the puzzle box. But apparently things go wrong as he’s turned into “Pseudo-Pinhead.” This Pseudo-Pinhead is such a devoted servant of Pinhead, he mimics his appearance as closely as possible and revels in the pain that leads to his pleasure.

HELLRAISER: REVELATIONS is coming from director Víctor Garcia and is set to star Smith Collins, Nick Eversman, Jay Gillespie, Devon Sorvari, Steven Brand, Sanny Van Heteren, Tracey Fairaway and Daniel Buran.The flick is currently filming in Los Angeles so expect more updates soon!
