The Ritual and The Night House director David Bruckner’s reboot of the horror classic Hellraiser is coming to the Hulu streaming service on October 7th – and the folks at Entertainment Weekly were able to get their hands on a batch of images from the film that give an early look at the characters played by Odessa A’zion (Let’s Scare Julie) and Goran Visnjic (The Boys), as well as a Cenobite called The Masque (played by professional football/soccer player Vukašin Jovanović)… and yes, Jamie Clayton (Sense8) as Pinhead. You can check them out at the bottom of this article.
Producer David S. Goyer came up with the story for the new film, and the screenplay was written by Ben Collins and Luke Piotrowski (Super Dark Times). Based on Clive Barker’s novella The Hellbound Heart, the film has the following synopsis:
A young woman struggling with addiction comes into possession of an ancient puzzle box, unaware that its purpose is to summon the Cenobites, a group of sadistic supernatural beings from another dimension.
Bruckner told Entertainment Weekly, “This is not a remake. I just didn’t think you could ever remake the original Hellraiser. It’s too much its own thing and it would be, I think, perilous territory for filmmakers, because how do you top that? This is a new story in the Hellraiser universe.”

The actors mentioned above are joined in the cast of Hellraiser by Adam Faison (Everything’s Gonna Be Okay), Drew Starkey (Outer Banks), Brandon Flynn (13 Reasons Why), Aoife Hinds (Anne Boleyn), Jason Liles (Stereoscope), Yinka Olorunnife (The Transporter), Selina Lo (Boss Level), Zachary Hing (Halo), Kit Clarke (Leonardo), and Hiam Abbass (Blade Runner 2049).
A Hulu Original, in association with Spyglass Media Group, the film was produced by Goyer, Barker, Keith Levine, and Marc Toberoff. Gary Barber, Peter Oillataguerre, and Todd Williams serve as executive producers, with Chris Stone and Gracie Wheelan co-producing.
