Years ago Lloyd Kaufman gave us
horror fans something wonderful in his Troma film company. Filled with potty
humor, gore and tons o’ naked chicks, it was something special for all to share.
Well it seems like the smutty gore fest cinema spirit lives on, this time on
screen with a little something called HELLBILLY 58.
First reported on before Christmas, HELLBILLY 58 is
about a troublesome hillbilly called William Sawyer, who
was an arsonist and also the cause of a lot of fatal accidents back in 1958.
Election time is coming and the mayor wants him out of the town, as all the
trouble looks bad on him. He orders a bent group of cops and townspeople to kill
this hillbilly and hide the body. They do, and nobody else ever knows about this
cover up murder. BUT over the years there have been sightings, and talks of a
local legend called ‘Hellbilly’. The legend that he’s not really dead and he’s
still in the woods, waiting for revenge. Well the legend is true, and Hellbilly
of 58 is back in town.
The stills seen below are the latest
from HELLBILLY 58, and I for one can’t wait. It’s been a while since I’ve
seen anything in the way of a Troma-esque horror, and these pictures have
definitely tickled that fancy. So check out the stills below, and for more info
on HELLBILLY 58, check them out at their MySpace page
here.
