What really goes on with animals?
What are their lives like? What are they thinking? What do they say to one another?
The new HBO series ANIMALS, produced by the Duplass brothers, aims to give us some insight into their world, and, from the looks of the show's new trailer, it should be a hilarious endeavor to experience. With a voice cast that is pretty astounding (Aziz Ansari, Nick Kroll, Katie Aselton, Rob Corddry, Ellie Kemper, Mark Maron, Ike Barinholtz, Jason Mantzoukas, Nathan Fielder, Paul Scheer, Matt Walsh, Chelsea Peretti, Zach Woods, Adam Scott, and that's not all), ANIMALS looks to be the late-night animation that's right up our alley.
Created by Phil Matarese and Mike Luciano and produced by Duplass Brothers Television, Animals. focuses on the downtrodden creatures native to Earth’s least-habitable environment: New York City. Whether it’s lovelorn rats, gender-questioning pigeons or aging bedbugs in the midst of a midlife crisis, the awkward small talk, moral ambiguity and existential woes of non-human urbanites prove startlingly similar to our own.
ANIMALS premieres on HBO on Friday night, February 5, at 11:30 p.m.
