Recently it was announced that Spyglass Media had acquired the rights to the SCREAM franchise and are currently developing SCREAM 5 with David Arquette ready and willing to join in. And today Hayden Panettiere MIGHT be teasing the return of SCREAM 4 scene-stealer Kirby Reed.
She tweeted a pic of her new haircut (see below), writing:
Channeling my inner Kirby Scream 4
Mighty interesting tweet considering the planned new film, eh? I guess we'll have to wait and see…
SCREAM 4 centered on
Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell) who returns to Woodsboro after writing a self-help book to reconnect with old friends Gale Weathers (Courteney Cox) and Sheriff Dewey (David Arquette) many years after the Ghostface Killer cut a deadly path through the town. However, Sidney's arrival also sparks the return of Ghostface, putting Sidney and everyone she loves in danger.
It saw the return of Neve Campbell as Sidney Prescott, David Arquette as Dewey Riley, and Courteney Cox as Gale Riley. Emma Roberts joined them the fourth time around as Jill Roberts, with Hayden Panettiere as Kirby Reed, Rory Culkin as Charlie Walker, Erik Knudsen as Robbie Mercer, Marley Shelton as Judy Hicks, Nico Tortorella as Trevor Sheldon, Marielle Jaffe as Olivia Morris, Alison Brie as Rebecca Walters, Mary McDonnell as Kate Roberts, Adam Brody as Ross Hoss, Anthony Anderson as Anthony Perkins, Aimee Teegarden as Jenny Randall, and Britt Robertson as Marnie Cooper. Cameos included Anna Paquin, Kristen Bell, Lucy Hale, and Shenae Grimes. Roger L. Jackson returned as the voice of Ghostface. It was directed by Wes Craven who produced with Iya Labunka and Kevin Williamson from a script by Williamson. Dimension released it on April 15, 2011.
