Hatched trailer: dinosaur horror movie has been released by Uncork’d

Rebecca Matthews, director of Pet Graveyard and this year's Bats, is back to deliver some more "nature run amok" action with her latest film Hatched – and in this case, "nature" happens to be dinosaurs that have brought back into existence in modern day. Hatched was released by Uncork'd Entertainment this week, so check out the trailer above and see if this looks like a movie you'd like to watch. If so, it's available for viewing right now at THIS LINK.

Directed by Matthews and her frequent collaborator Scott Jeffrey, Hatched has the following synopsis:

An obsessive scientist discovers a way to bring dinosaurs back to life and when his family comes to visit, they find him dead, eaten by his creations. If they escape, these monsters could threaten the city, so they must be contained and destroyed.

The film stars Georgie Banks, Megan Purvis, Marshall Hawkes, Thomas Loone, Richard Kovacs, David Parkin, Nicole Nabi, and Nicola Wright.

Matthews and Jeffrey have been very busy in recent years. 2019's Pet Graveyard was Matthews' first directorial credit, and now she has 15 more on her filmography, two of those being in pre-production. She has also earned 41 producing credits in the last five years. Jeffrey has been producing for the same amount of time, and has 73 producing credits to his name. His feature directorial debut was 2018's The Bad Nun, and he has 21 directing credits at the moment.

Roger Corman's Jurassic Park cash-in franchise Carnosaur brought me a lot of cheap entertainment when I was a kid, so I'm all for movies like Hatched being made. With its "dinosaurs in a mansion" set-up, this sort of looks like the climax from Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, expanded to feature length and done with a much lower budget.
