We've known for a while that we will be getting a new film in the long-running THE TERMINATOR franchise, to be directed by THOR: THE DARK WORLD helmer Alan Taylor, and now we may know what that new film will be titled.
According to the reliable Production Weekly, the fifth installment of the cyborg movie franchise has been branded with a title. Check out the tweet that Production Weekly shot out this weekend below:

TERMINATOR: GENESIS. I dig it!
Details of the project are still scarce, but rumor suggests it's intended to be the first installment of a new trilogy. Laeta Kalogridis, the SHUTTER ISLAND screenwriter and AVATAR executive producer, is penning the script with DRACULA 2000 director/writer Patrick Lussier.
Arnold Schwarzenegger is expected to return for the reboot. Emilia Clarke ("Game of Thrones") and Brie Larson ("21 Jump Street") are reportedly on the short list to play Sarah Connor played by Linda Hamilton in the classic movies directed by James Cameron, and MAD MAX: FURY ROAD's Tom Hardy is rumored being considered to take on the role of John Connor, previously portrayed by Christian Bale in 2009's TERMINATOR SALVATION. Garrett Hedlund, Taylor Kitsch and Nicholas Hoult are reportedly contenders to play the young Kyle Reese, who will father John.
On top of a new film in the franchise, it looks as if we'll also be getting a new TV series (see our story from last week on that HERE). I'm totally onboard with that!
More on TERMINATOR: GENESIS and the new TV series as we hear it.
