Harley Quinn Season 3 casts Harvey Guillén in the role of Nightwing

Harley Quinn Season 3, Harvey Guillén, Nightwing

Everything is coming up Milhouse for Harvey Guillén (What We Do in the Shadows)! With upcoming roles for DC’s Blue Beetle and Puss in Boots: The Last Wish already announced, Guillén is joining the cast of Harley Quinn Season 3. Harvey Guillén has been cast as the voice of Nightwing, which is bound to please DC fans who go gaga for Dick Grayson’s alter ego.

Famously known for having the best ass in comics, Nightwing was once known as the Boy Wonder and Batman’s partner in the war against crime. Introduced as the orphan Dick Grayson, he adopts the name Nightwing after he and Batman go their separate ways. Trained in the art of acrobatics from a young age, Nightwing swings and tumbles through Gotham City with ease and has been romantically involved with Barbara Gordon (Batgirl) on more than one occasion.

In addition to Guillén playing Nightwing, it has also been revealed that James Gunn will play himself in Harley Quinn Season 3. Co-creator and co-showrunner Patrick Schumacker revealed Gunn’s involvement during the Reimagining of Iconic Characters for an Adult Audience panel at this week’s South by Southwest festival. According to Schumacker, Gunn is set to cameo in the series as he goes to work directing a movie “about Thomas Wayne.” No one is certain how big of a part Gunn will play in the series, but the director recently revealed that he’s very excited about the opportunity.

There’s also a Harley Quinn spinoff in the works revolving around Kite Man. Titled Noonan’s, the series would follow Kite Man as he tries to run a bar by himself. Harley Quinn Season 3 premieres later this year on HBO Max. Are you excited for more episodes? Does the idea of Harvey Guillén as Nightwing joining the cast have you jazzed? How many episodes do you think Gunn will be featured in? Sound off in the comments below!
