Han stands trial for crashing a TIE fighter in Solo deleted scene

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

We all know Han Solo does things in his own maverick-y way, and he’s been doing so since his younger days. This includes when he was a pilot for the Empire, and in this new deleted scene from the recent SOLO: A STAR WARS STORY we see the young Solo (Alden Ehrenreich) taking things into his own hands when his TIE fighter is going down, only to come in for a crash landing. Needless to say, his stuffy superiors have grown tired of his daredevil ways.

The scene sheds some light on how Han lost his flying privileges while working for the Empire, and it transitions right into the scene in the actual movie where he’s on a battlefield fighting among the infantry. This ultimately leads to Solo abandoning the army, teaming up with other fellow rogues (led by Woody Harrelson) and a large Wookie named Chewbacca. The Empire should’ve known better than to put Solo in a corner…or in a battlefield, rather.

The clip comes before the movie’s digital release tomorrow, September 14, which will proceed the Blu-ray and DVD release on September 25. There will be plenty of more goodies to watch for anyone who gets a copy of the movie, so this deleted scene is a nice little taste of what’s to come. I don’t know if it’s enough to make me want to shell out for the Blu-ray, but this was a nice little tidbit nonetheless.
