A “first look” trailer for the upcoming Halo TV series arrived during the Game Awards back in December, and now a poster has been released on Twitter to let us know that the “official trailer” for the show is going be unveiled this Sunday, January 30th, during halftime of the AFC championship game on CBS and Paramount Plus. So if you’re really anxious to see more of what this Halo show is going to have to offer, make sure you’re watching that game this weekend!

A premiere date for Halo has never been announced, so hopefully the new trailer will give that information. We do know that the show will be available to watch on the Paramount Plus streaming service sometime in 2022. The Halo series will center on Pablo Schreiber as Master Chief,

Earth’s most advanced warrior in the 26th century and the only hope of salvation for a civilization pushed to the brink of destruction by the Covenant, an unstoppable alliance of alien worlds committed to the destruction of humanity.

Schreiber is joined in the cast by Natasha McElhone as Dr. Halsey, “the brilliant, conflicted and inscrutable creator of the Spartan super soldiers”; Jen Taylor as Cortana, “the most advanced AI in human history, and potentially the key to the survival of the human race”; and newcomer Yerin Ha as a new character named Quan Ah, “a shrewd, audacious 16-year-old from the Outer Colonies who meets Master Chief at a fateful time for them both.”

Bokeem WoodbineShabana Azmi, Natasha Culzac, Olive Gray, Bentley Kalu, Kate Kennedy, Charlie Murphy, and Danny Sapani will also be appearing on the show.

The Halo series is said to “weave deeply drawn personal stories with action, adventure, and a richly imagined vision of the future.” The show is executive produced by showrunners Kyle Killen and Steven Kane, along with Darryl Frank and Justin Falvey of Amblin Television, in partnership with 343 Industries, director Otto Bathurst and Toby Leslie for One Big Picture, Scott Pennington for Chapter Eleven, and Karen Richards.
