Master racial relations deconstructor and James Bond emotion exposer Paul Haggis apparently enjoyed his time uncovering the multiple layers of brood of the British 007 superspy as he’s recently picked up the rights to Joseph Weisberg’s novel “An Ordinary Spy”. As opposed to the grand, multiple chick banging, explosion laced adventuring of Bond, “An Ordinary Spy” relates the reality of the day-to-day operations of the CIA, focusing on the emotional toll it can take on the agents involved. Haggis won’t be revealing emotional truths himself on this one, however. He’s decided to stick strictly to producing duties and has set veteran TV writer Stephen Nathan to pen the script. Haggis, as mentioned, most recently scripted the mysteriously titled QUANTUM OF SOLACE.
