Gwyneth Paltrow has turned all of her focus onto the company she started called Goop. However, she could end her hiatus if a former co-star came calling.

While we ran a story earlier about Jack Nicholson bowing out of acting after the last thirteen years, Gwyneth Paltrow has recently taken her desired break from the profession. Previously, Paltrow was seen reprising her Pepper Potts character from the Iron Man movies in 2019’s Avengers: Endgame. She, then, could be seen in the Netflix series The Politician, which had its second season premiere in 2020. However, the actress has since turned her focus towards her company, Goop, and has not considered looking for or taking any new roles.

According to Variety, Paltrow is fully committed to her time at her business, but if one person called her up to take part in a movie, she would possibly step back in the game. And that person is Robert Downey Jr. Paltrow recently spoke with Entertainment Tonight in a new interview where she stated, “Well, it would be very hard for me to do any acting right at the moment, just because of my job. But, I guess Robert Downey Jr. could probably always get me back. You know, to some degree.” The two have been in the Marvel Cinematic Universe since the beginning with the inaugural Iron Man in 2008. Paltrow played Downey’s love interest in the movies.

Earlier this year, Paltrow had participated in a Q&A with her fans on Instagram. One fan wrote in to ask, “I’m asking this every time answer the question why did you stop with Marvel and do you miss [Robert Downey Jr.]?” Paltrow jokingly responded, “Oh my god, stop yelling at me!” Then, she continued, “We just stopped doing it because Iron Man died. And, why do you need Pepper Potts without Iron Man? I don’t know. Call up Marvel and yell at them, not me. I’m just sitting here.”

Additionally, Paltrow would take part in an interview with MCU peer Scarlett Johansson on The Goop Podcast, where Paltrow was asked if she was done with Marvel. She responded, “I think so. I mean, I didn’t die so they can always ask me.” Perhaps if all this news of Marvel considering bringing OG Avengers back turns out to be true, it isn’t out of the question that they might possibly ask Paltrow to return as well.
