I’m still trying to sort out my feelings about THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2. I even just posted on Movie Fan Central to ask you guys how you were feeling about it. I’m not jumping to any conclusions saying it’s one “destined for the shitter” but the amount of villains that are already in the movie and rumored kind of bothers me. I know the set up is for the Sinister Six, however a comic book movie can easily turn into a mess when there’s too much going on with too many characters.
Eh, I’m ranting. Sorry. I’ve brought you all here to check out this photo of Gwen Stacy (Emma Stone) sitting at Oscorp AKA enemy headquarters. There’s a lot of bad stuff going on there. “What’s a nice girl like you doing in a place like this?”
Synopsis:
We’ve always known that Spider-Man’s most important battle has been within himself: the struggle between the ordinary obligations of Peter Parker and the extraordinary responsibilities of Spider-Man. But in The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Peter Parker finds that a greater conflict lies ahead. It’s great to be Spider-Man (Andrew Garfield). For Peter Parker, there’s no feeling quite like swinging between skyscrapers, embracing being the hero, and spending time with Gwen (Emma Stone). But being Spider-Man comes at a price: only Spider-Man can protect his fellow New Yorkers from the formidable villains that threaten the city. With the emergence of Electro (Jamie Foxx), Peter must confront a foe far more powerful than he. And as his old friend, Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan), returns, Peter comes to realize that all of his enemies have one thing in common: OsCorp.
THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2 also stars Colm Feore, Paul Giamatti, Felicity Jones, Chris Cooper and B.J. Novak, and will swing into theaters on May 2nd, 2014.
