Writer-director William McGregor's GWEN (Pre-order HERE) starring Maxine Peake and Eleanor Worthington-Cox premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival last year where Cox received the Toronto International Film Festival Rising Star award. It hit theaters, On Demand, and Digital HD last month, and today we have word that Shudder and RLJE Films will release the movie on DVD and Blu-ray next month.

The film stars Eleanor Worthington-Cox (Maleficent) and Maxine Peake (The Theory of Everything) and centers on
a young girl whose life seems to be collapsing around her. Struggling with her mother’s mysterious illness, her father's absence and a group of angry villagers threatening to take her farm, Gwen must find the strength to guide her family through the darkness. But as a malevolent presence begins to take grip of her home, it becomes apparent there is a greater evil that may be too strong to overcome.
Written and directed by McGregor, it stars Eleanor Worthington Cox as Gwen, Maxine Peake as Elen, Richard Harrington as Edward Morris, Mark Lewis Jones as Mr. Wynne, and Kobna Holdbrook-Smith as Doctor Wren. Hilary Bevan Jones produces the movie which features music by James Edward Barker, cinematography by Adam Etherington, and editing by Mark Towns. RLJE Films releases GWEN on Blu-ray on October 8, 2019.
