King Arthur: Legend of the Sword Charlie Hunnam

It feels like Guy Ritchie's upcoming King Arthur project has on the way for quite a while thanks to the number of times its release date has been pushed back. Both Ritchie and Warner Bros. are hoping to turn this into their next big franchise, so I suppose that it's only natural that they'd want to take their time to get it right. The ever-shifting release date isn't the only thing that has changed as the film also has a new title; previously going by KNIGHTS OF THE ROUNDTABLE: KING ARTHUR, the film will now be known as KING ARTHUR: LEGEND OF THE SWORD. Along with the new title, two new photos from the film have dropped courtesy of Entertainment Weekly.

Above is Charlie Hunnam as the titular character, who Hunnam says is "a bit rough around the edges" at this point in his life but that "he’s basically a survivor.” Arthur's uncle Vortigern is played by Jude Law and he's definitely not the nicest guy in the kingdom, murdering his brother and Arthur's father Uther Pendragon (Eric Bana) and taking over his kingdom thanks to a set of deadly magical powers which give him the upper hand.

KING ARTHUR: LEGEND OF THE SWORD is set for a March 24, 2017 release.
