There's a lot of action on the set of CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER in Cleveland today with some car smashing, gunfire, and a one-eyed agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. parading the downtown streets. Samuel L. Jackson was on set as the leader of the clandestine government organization, rocking his usual black duds and looking as serious as ever while "D.C. Police and SWAT" cornered an SUV and opened fire on it.

Very cool stuff. With word on the street that CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER is to be as big in scope as THE AVENGERS, it certainly looks like the production is taking great pains to lend some authenticity with their action-riffic locales. The crew has already filmed a number of scenes in Washington D.C. and is now using Cleveland as a backdrop for it, where they're executing more of the big action sequences.
Here's some snaps from the set:
Looking pretty awesome to me. If you're in the area and have the means, head on out and catch a glimpse of the action as the film will continue to film in downtown Cleveland for the rest of the week. I expect this isn't the last of the set pics we'll see for the movie this week…
