Just last week "Hannibal" showrunner Bryan Fuller took to Twitter to tease fans of the show with some very cool info regarding the upcoming season and who will be helming some pivotal episodes, revealing that Neil Marshal (THE DESCENT) and Vincenzo Natali (SPLICE) would be taking on the directing duties for some of the episodes. Now we've learned who would be directing the last three episodes of the third season of the best damn horror themed show on television (in my opinion).
Fashion & Style is reporting that Guillermo del Toro, Guillermo Navarro, and Michael Rymer will be handling the directing duties for the final three episodes of the upcoming season. Yes, Guillermo del Toro! How exciting is that, Fannibals?
I'm personally stoked to see what the director of PANS LABYRINTH, PACIFIC RIM, the HELLBOY films, and the upcoming CRIMSON PEAK will bring to the new season of "Hannibal".
Navarro is no stranger to "Hannibal", having directed several Season 1 episodes. Navarro has also worked with del Toro on several of his films, including CRONOS and THE DEVIL'S BACKBONE.
Rymer is also a "Hannibal" alum, directing a handful of episodes (including the penultimate Season 2 episode).
"Hannibal" returns on June 4 to NBC.
