I believe (or choose to believe) that, like me, many people on this site love the EVIL DEAD series. I think that's a pretty safe bet. And what makes that series work so well is the affable charisma of series protagonist Ash Williams, played with goofy aplomb by the one, the only, Bruce Campbell. And while the STARZ show ASH VS. EVIL DEAD has had its ups-and-downs, Campbell himself always brings it. And, judging by the trailer embedded above, doesn't look like he has any signs of slowing down.
To be fair, I haven't kept up religiously with the show (though I've liked what I've seen, for the most part), but I like the idea of "Papa Bear" Ash. I think as fun as the "doofy loner, kinda badass" version of Ash is, giving him more emotional stakes via taking care of a daughter who never knew he existed, could be invaluable to the show.
Anyway, here's the official synopsis:
The third season finds Ash, having gone from murderous urban legend to humanity-saving hometown hero, discovering that he has a long lost daughter who’s been entrusted in his care. When Kelly witnesses a televised massacre with Ruby’s fingerprints all over it, she returns with a new friend to warn Ash and Pablo that evil isn’t done with them yet. But evil will learn to never get in between a papa bear and his cub.
So, any fans of the show? If so, what are your thoughts on the direction the new season seems to be taking? Either way, sound off below!
Meanwhile, season 3 of ASH VS. EVIL DEAD will premiere on STARZ Sunday, February 25th, 2018 at 9 PM ET/PT. Mark your calenders!
